I like the idea of it being good ground cover does it like very dry conditions ?

Probably not, but will grow under trees on a clay soil in partial shade, as long as its not in full sun all day. Give it a go!

I was thinking of it to go under some Holly trees but it is very dry the trees take all the moisture out of the soil ...

You can but try, plants suprise me sometimes, growing where we don't expect them to! Keep it well watered at first until it is established.....then see.

It is brilliant isn't it Pam24, exactly where mines planted part shade in our little wood and clay soil, seems to love it.

this stuff is brilliant for those part shady/shady places and never fails to produce lovely foliage and flowers. Good ground cover. I love it!! If it starts to take over its very easy to pull up too. Supposed to smell of new mown hay!
