Thanks everyone, lol Shirley course you can I'm a bargain hunter:-), bought this one from Wilkinsons several years ago when they used to sell those packs of bare root shrubs and roses bought another lovely pink one too, the smell is gorgeous too Dawn.

Lucky you to have the aroma too. Its always worth looking in Wilkos and Poundland.

I'm always worried about the cheap bare roots plants, guess you need the right timing with them, before they had the chance to dry up at the shops...... that rose is seriously great :-)

I had some real bargains Columbine, we had a whole garden to do from scratch so bought loads of their bare root shrubs, forsythias, potentilla, viburnum, deutzia, mock orange etc, all have done brilliantly especially the ground cover roses they're huge now and covered in flowers June to October, but yes you're right have to get them when they're new in :-)
