10 years now Karen, 1st of May 2001 we moved in, were's the time gone.

Ah, well in another five years, maybe my rhapsody in blue will be that size then!

The rhapsody in blue's not been planted that long Karen, was a year before we even had any grass,what a nightmare the weeds drove me mad,lol,too busy doing the house I painted every room and waxed every door staircase and beam(3 times), garage doors, gates, hammerited those balconies,we raked and leveled the whole garden and seeded it,too large an area to turf, then spent the next 9 years digging it all up,lol, should think the rose has been there 6 years.

Blimey, it makes you think doesn't it Simbad, when you recall all that work!! My Rhapsody is only in it's third year, so I am hopeful that it will do well. I didn't get the roses for a while, I had planned to do a different style of garden here, but it ended up being the same as the last one really!

Certainly does Karen, and now it all needs doing again :-(, although we won't be starting till autumn when there's less to do in the garden.

I'm ashamed to admit that we moved in five years ago and we are just about to get the downstairs done for the first time! I will be so glad to see the back of all that magnolia!

We grow this one and I just love the clear yellow flowers.
