Washington Navel Orange Trees

California's Central Valley, there's probably millions of acres of citrus trees (we grow more citrus than the state of Florida) and hundreds of miles of almond trees. Photo taken May 11, 2011.

I believed they are picked by hand, too. It's a lot of hard work, luckily the fruits ripen in late winter. This area get blistering hot in summer (the average highs in summer are over or near 100ºF/38ºC. and many times it's much hotter).
