Thankyou:-)
Lost quite a few plants from this border last winter, penstemon, bronze fennel(are some babies sprouting though) and my huge cardoon:-(.

So frustrating isnt it. Funnily enough just asked you on your aruncus pic, how to collect bronze fennel seed, have some left but lost most, good to save seed :). They were so nice last year from your seed. Poor cardoon, my scotch thistles pulled through, maybe tougher being from far north, lol

I mourned the cardoon for a while Dawn:-( till I realised I now had room for the new hollyhock I've grown from seed this year, lol, every cloud has a silver lining:-)

Lol Kathy. Remember the hollyhock antwerp seed you sent me ... Well lots of flower buds this year :))

The seeds have done so well for you Dawn, glad you could make use of them:-) look forward to seeing what colours you get, I've had some lovely colours from those, the one I've grown this year is 'Creme de Cassis' think they came free with a garden mag, nice colour:-)

Look forward to seeing your new hollyhock Kathy. Yes, I've so enjoyed growing your seeds and likes Amy's, such a pleasure to grow as they all germinate. What are you going to do with all your Clematis Korean Beauty plants? I dont know what to do with them all, lol. Do you think they will climb trees?

I've swapped a couple Dawn and given one to mother-in-law, who was thrilled to bits:-), and have space for quite a few, lost my russian vine overwinter or think I have only tiny leaves that aren't doing much but go brown, thought they were indestructable, anyway the clematis will be much more managable and prettier, thought I may sell a few on ebay see how they go, this past week they're growing like triffids.
Suppose they would climb trees but do they like the shade? not sure.

I didnt realise Russian Vine could die Kathy, lol.
I dont know if the clematis tolerate shade, I'll soon find out.
