At least this was in full bloom at my friends' 250 acre garden in Palomares Canyon in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I must clarify this...the garden is only 1 acre, the property is 250 acres. There used to be several acres of cherries and grapes at one time. The rest of the property is native trees like: Quercus agrifolia - Coast Live Oak, Umbellularia californica - California Bay tree (which are gargantuan trees) and Manzanitas.
