Nice that you have your father's Pieris plant...

I have Pieris Forest Flame which was growing in a pot in my mother's garden, about 11 years ago. Then I inherited it and after about another year in the pot, I planted it in the shade in the ground in my back garden, with ericaceous compost added to the soil....

I guess the plant is at least 12 years old... it seems to have struggled a bit over the recent cold winter, followed by weeks of drought, despite my watering it with rainwater... so I'm giving it ericaceous food to try to perk it up a bit..

What else?

See who else is growing Pieris japonica.

See who else has plants in genus Pieris.
