I do too Cinders, but Im not a fan of the "formal" rose garden..I love to see them jumbled up with other things..

I tend to agree with you. I once had all roses in my middle bed and it never really lived up to expectations.

You can hide a bit of blackspot and spindly legs with underplanting but who can achieve a perfectly healthy and
elegant rose bed? Apparently before the clean air act, when we had coal fires, blackspot was almost unheard of!

Is that so Tet. I hadnt heard that. I think you are very lucky if you escape that pest.
