The flowers are huge and the foliage is a zingy lime green...in my last garden Kate was not happy...but here she's in moist sandy soil and she seems quite happy.

Sweet Kate is lovely. It will tolerate wet soil, in fact it is looking wonderful planted here by the stream where the soil is somewhat saturated.

I think I have a better picture of the flower, Karen. it's from a more recent date than this...The stamens are so lovely ...feathery with a bright yellow anther on the ends...sooo pretty. Went looking Karen...it's number 30 something...I don't have many pics up on this page yet! Much better shot!

Yes, I saw that one too...it really is a lovely plant, I'm not surprised you are so chuffed with it.

Hi Lori! I commented on this lovely pic yesterday and now it's disappeared! This is gorgeous, one of my favourite colour combinations! Have you ever seen a hardy geranium called 'Ann Folkard'? It has yellowy lime foliage and purple/magenta flowers, spreads about 3 ft diameter, and about 1ft high. Must see if I have a decent pic of mine. It has a similar sort of impact as this. I must see if I can get a 'Sweet Kate' for myself!
