An almost pure black petunia!

Nor me! I do like black plants (as well as blue!) A friend who has taken over half of Sherston Parva nurseries used these in his hanging baskets and he sold me some! And they really are black!

I've tried it this year too (for the first time). Petunia "Black velvet" is a "true black", but I'm a bit disappointed with it's habit...it's not that free flowering, doesn't trail like the surfinias (so looks a bit lost in a hanging basket)....and closes up at the merest sniff of rain, lol. It is a gorgeous colour though.
PS. I love black plants too Lulu :)

I'm a sucker for black flowers too, but the new black for me this year is brown. Did you see my latest Foxglove?

Much as I dislike Petunias, this one is a must have!!!
I've had near black Pansies before (I hate Pansies!), but never seen a Petunia like this!
