Gilli you are right this is the same thing our tree is just 12 ins tall it is taking forever to grow!! Catalpas are slightly tender and so is the Melianthus Dawn.....

It can't be the same type of Catalpa then DD. We have lots of Catalpas growing here and our winters can easily reach -25C and our summers +40C. The ones that grow here are Catalpa speciosa.

Very nice DD. I'm confused though....Here Catalpa are trees with long bean pod seed casings. Is this a seedling?
