This lovely flower is blooming and growing in the shade of a Black Walnut.

Thanks Meanie...the clump of lemon daylilies is growing under a Black Walnut tree... amazing! I'm making a garden area at the back of the house and will transfer the plants in this bed...there aren't many plants that are juglone resistant.

This is amazing! I can't believe it's blooming in this much shade.

There wasn't much, but what there was, was beautiful! I love these lilies and I hope for better results in the new bed. Will be planting them near the orange lilies that come up so thickly near the foundation on the south side of the house.

I have some in my front yard and they haven't bloomed...I'm guessing they're not receiving enough sun. Here in San Diego Daylilies typically bloom all year.

There is a seed pod on the lilies so I'm going to try starting them from seed. (:^) I have a greenhouse now! lol....
There must be a long list of perennials which bloom year round in your area!
