May or may not do well with you Delonix - it's native to Chile.

Meanie:
Many plants from Chile grow very well in most of CA. Chile has virtually the same climates as in California.

Meanie:
I have a feeling this plant would do better in the San Francisco Bay Area. It would most likely look better with more rain.

Plantaholic - lucky you having one at all! It's amazing the plants that do survive down in the jungle - there are Agave's of a good age down there, along with unprotected Mussa and so on.......
Delonix - a nice present for your relatives maybe.......

I remembered one incident of my childhood Meanie. My mother had some beautiful roses in her garden.Once when I was appreciating their beauty,my hand was pricked.I was mad. Then my father had said to me that if you want to love the beauty of roses then learn to live with the pricking too.
