This is a wildlife pond--no fish, but plenty of snails, beetles, froglets and other water-life. We have dragonflies visiting, and the birds love to bathe in the warmer water at the edge. The area was covered in concrete, set with large pebbles, before my husband (David) set to work to dig out the 5 ft. of clay and builders' rubble to create the pond. We have a bench nearby, and I love to watch the pond life--with a cup of tea, obviously!
