Yes, Olive, looks like a Philadelphus (Mock Orange). Is it scented? Some of them don't have a scent, but the ones that do..............beautiful!

Not perfumed at all, shame isn't it, if it had perfume it would be absolutely beautiful.

Could this be Philadelphus 'Burfordensis' ? This is one variety that is unscented.

Have had a look Constance and the ones I have looked at say that it is scented, this one definitely isn't - some of these sites are very confusing. It looks very much like it but I do not have any idea - it could be any of them - are there any others which do not have perfume please.

Imagine that! A philadelphus without a scent...what a waste! Chop it down and get a scented one Mum....or better still, grow a clematis through it! lol ;)...only joking, it's lovely!

I put this in before you left home Karen, but you will not remember that. This is the best it has ever done.

It has had flowers before, but no where near as many as it has this year, it had a really bad attack of blackfly one year, (think year before last) no sign of it this year. Strange isn't it, I have tried cutting it and leaving it and this year I left it but threatened to take it out lol and just look at it now. Think I might try threatening a few more plants, some clematis are not flowering as they should that might work with them also. lol.
