This grows very rapidly and, after being bought two years ago as a tiny shrub, already 2m tall.

Oh, thank you so much, Simbad! I did buy a few shrubs at the time as I just wanted some privacy and wasn't really paying much attention to what it was then. Your variety sounds very pretty. I shall look out for it. Thanks again:-)

Looks like a deutzia 1poodle11, have a couple in my garden, bought a really pretty variety this year called 'Strawberry Fields' really large pink and white flowers, one to look out for :-))
