Plumeria rubra "Plastic Pink - Plastic Pink Plumeria Cuttings

Wow, now these are cuttings!!! Mine is tiny compared to yours and from what I can see I think mine is dead. ;o(((

Don't give up on your cutting yet! Sometimes the cutting will get completely shriveled up...and still grow roots and come back. Let's hope for the best! :>)

These cuttings broke off my 9ft/2.8m tall plumeria tree in the ground (back yard) during a very unusual October storm last year. I think I started these two months ago. I'm giving this plant to my former neighbor, soon.

OK Delonix, Watering it once a week or so and in full sun. It better grow roots and come back, at least it hasn't shriveled up (yet)...

You should not water the cutting (at all) until you see signs of growth. My plumeria cuttings were put into barely moist soil (not wet) , when I originally planted them 2 months ago...I gave them a tiny bit of water a couple of days ago (for the first time). The soil must stay very dry...or it will rot. Watering plumeria cuttings before they root is the biggest problem people have with them...they think the cutting is going to die of dryness...and it does of over watering. (a plumeria cutting can actually stay alive for almost 2 years left on a bench or table in a cool, dark place with no water and still be rooted) :>)

Ooooooops. No water for my cutting until I see signs of growth then. (I hope I didn't kill it!!!)
Amazing isn't it, that something could live that long with no water or nutrients.

Many people can't comprehend not watering plumeria cuttings before they see growth. However, one has to think of plumeria as a succulent. It stores a lot of water in the stems. This is the reason why they don't need very much water. Most of trees and shrubs in the ground around here never get drop of a water for 7 to 8 month and thrive and bloom beautifully (from spring - early winter).

So how often should I water my seedlings??? I let the soil dry out and then I water them, they are doing great.

Yes, even seedlings should be allowed to dry out before they are watered completely. However, you have to take into account very hot weather conditions (with seedling). They may need a little more water.
