That's pretty :o)
Where do you have this growing ?
Sun or shade ?
Dry or damp ?

It is in a border which is in shade at times. I raised the bed slightly to give me depth to plant perennials because I had to remove a Stella Cherry and a Victoria plum. They were both overshadowed by the new house next door to the extent that they were permanently in the shade from September to April and two trees which had been prolific fruiters overnight became totally non productive. I did not even get the flowers opening. I had to change the border to keep me sane. I'm hoping that it will succeed as a perennial border because as the year progresses and the sun gets higher it does get some sun. It is an east facing border in a south facing garden but sheltered from the early morning sun. The soil is moist but free draining.

Thanks for a long and interesting answer... A pity about your fruit trees.. It shows just how much impact shaded areas can have on a garden.

I try not to think about it. I had the garden all ready for our old age and have had to start again. I have nightmares about how we have been treated and it just goes on and on. The trouble is the more upset you become the less able you are to deal with it.

Problems from neighbours and from neighbouring properties are very debilitating...
You certainly have my sympathy ...
Well done you for making the changes to your garden :o) xxx
