First young Melon of the season

We used to grow Melons at our other House....This is the first time here, so I'm pleased we're getting a result...The type is 'Charantais' and they are delicious, they are from our region...

Love Charantais melons, C. They really are delicious - sadly, be picking mine up from Morrisons............ah well, mustn't grumble!!!

Oooh that Melon is really growing now....We've Two plants, so four to a plant...that should give us eight...all told....
It's great to see them in the fields, but the poor Melon pickers, oh their backs must kill them at the end of the day bent double just cutting Melons, for the shops...
