Yes, Homebird, I've read that they play a role in purifying the air indoors. I've always grown mine outdoors here, so I guess they're adding to the lovely fresh air around us.

Bernieh:

Your Spathophyllum looks terrific! I'm envious! lol! :>)

Mine hasn't bloomed this year yet(it usually starts blooming in April) . Mine also has holes in the leaves from bugs.

I'm quite lucky here. These don't seem to be bothered by any pests at all, unlike so many of the other plants around about. I have a few clumps of these in various spots and they all seem to have their own particular flowering time of the year ... none ever seem to do it at the same time!!

Yes, you're quite lucky. I think the snails are the big problem here. They love the new emerging leaves.

I have a smaller variegated plant which is in a pot. I have to find a spot in the ground...or maybe I'll just keep it in a pot. lol! :>)

Ooo! I would love a variegated one. Haven't noticed one in the nursery but I'll be on the lookout now.

Yes, this variegated Spathiphyllum is beautiful! Although, I'm very partial to variegated plants.

I'll have to get a pic posted soon. I've had this plant for quite a while and have never photographed it.
