Beautiful picture, you can send it to some magazine, really. May I ask what are those small hedge-like borders in the distance? Is it made from stones?

I see. Between 1750 and 1850 there was boom of planting hawthorn hedges in Britain - almost 320 000 of kilometres! The most famous is anyway Glastonbury hawthorn.

Yes, there are miles and miles of hawthorn and Saxon hedging which is mixed hedging.
