Heather & Evergreen Shrub Border

I love Heathers, but have only seen Terratoonie with Heathers, these are growing like mad at the moment, and are lovely shades of deep purple and pinks when they flower, the tri colour shrub behind has changed colour yet again...I have also added my big Box to this bed, and will give it a haircut when its settled in...

Thanks everyone, I think Heathers can get overlooked a bit...I've liked them like forever really...After my big White flowered early this year, it kicked up and died. I was more than surprised, as it had been in the same spot for three years...Anyway I've found a good site in Holland, and ordered two more...along with Dwarf Tsuga that I can plant at the base of my young Magnolia Susan, as you can see I have a couple of spaces :))...

I have always liked heathers but here they are difficult to grow? I am also not sure if they are cold hardy where I live. What kind of dwarf tsuga are you getting?

Sorry Rk..I wrote it down, now I can't find it...but I had to cancel the order, as it worked out far too expensive for the postage, more than if coming from the UK...rip off...so next time I go around the GC I'll keep my eyes open for something suitable...

I have two white heathers in my wooden planter, given to me by a good friend when they came for our housewarming party last September. They have grown soooo much! In the fall, I planted daffodil bulbs behind. Now that it's summer, there are pale yellow violas with the most exquisite smell behind them.

No, not yet. But I will with the next burst of flowers. I have just deadheaded most of the last lot. They are really prolific though.

Look forward to it... :))
