Yes, it's been really bad here.....well...if you've seen the golf news at all.....even worse in Moray by the look of it. My borders are all flooded again. July is nearly always very wet here....and yet I always expect it to be sunny! You'd think I'd learn!

That rain was a nightmare, wasn't it? I had just got my lawnmower etc out before it started. I was absolutely drenched by the time I got it all away...it was a choice between the mower or the washing which was almost dry...what a bummer! AND the grass will be 10ft high on Tuesday!!!!

Oh my goodness you poor dears.......you have too much we have not enough........

I think I did got a glimpse of the golf and huge puddles the other day. What a shame Scottish! Sometimes you wish you could split yourself to get everything done quickly.

I've just come indoors...it's raining...but this am it was sunny and warm and I got loads of weeding done and the grass cut! :))

Oh, that's great! It's been pouring here for most of the day. Where did you find loads of weeds, because there are never any in your pictures?

Well, there are poodle, if only you could see close enough! I am in a constant battle with Campanula Punctata which is so successful it has become a weed. Then there's the Japanese Anemones and the seedlings of Hellebores. They are all good plants that just do too well here! After them I have bindweed, chickweed, thistles, dock and all the usual suspects that constantly need to be hauled out! Today it was mostly the Campanula...grrr....I don't know if I will ever totally eradicate it.

I'm so glad to hear the Japanese Anemones are doing well with you, maybe they'll do well here too, as I love them and I had ordered three different kinds (from J. Parker very unfortunately and never again!!!) but some survived and have started to take. And I bought Hellebore seeds - isn't that funny? There's you trying to get rid of them...Oh, and dare I mention my Campanula seedlings are doing splendidly...;o))

The Bindweed is taking over my slope at the minute, growing in places that I just can't reach :o((
Btw...Very pretty Soggy seating area

lol...thanks. Bindweed is awful. I never got any in my old garden, but I get lots of it here and if you don't get it quickly it really gets a hold doesn't it.

Yes, it's hard to manage on the slope at this time of the year. Weed killer is not an option with all the other plants so close:o((

Can you not grab enough to get in a plastic bag and spray weed killer in the bag Annie? I've had to resort to that method on occasion and it works.
12 Jul, 2011
I've used plastic soda bottles before, cut the bottoms out and sprayed through the neck.........but there is sooooo much of it!!!! I think I have hit that gardening low time!

Oh, I know what you mean...when it all starts to get a bit overblown and out of control. I am the same..planning the demise of some perennials. The Achilleas are coming out, some more of the larger geraniums and the Alstro is heading south to you, DD and oliveoil too. I don't really like it very much...not purple enough for me...too pink. The Viticella Clems will also be reduced in numbers next year I think....some of them just get far too big.

Pss..Don't worry about DD and your mum, I really love it! Lol

Did you have really heavy showers today and last night as well? I couldn't believe the size of the rain drops. I ran out to save my primula seedlings, and there were mini craters in the compost around them
