Good idea Scottish. I saw that programme and thought the garden featured was one of the most enchanting I have seen.

Can't wait to see the results, saw the programme too, liked it very much...Did you have a trip in the woods for your logs..H and i go rummaging surprising what you can find...

No Crissue...The logs were lying in a pile at the nursery, I asked if I could have them and he said yes...probably cos I've spent quite a bit of money over the last couple of months. I live less than 100 yards from the river and the woods - never needed to look for anything before. The large stone - was just kinda sitting next to a collapsed wall saying 'take me' - I shouldn't say this in public should I :))))
Have been busy clearing the area for planting out this week. Will not be putting in a trough like AT. Just need to get my son to help me manouvre THAT stone. I need to get him when he wants something, that way I will have the use of his labour for as long as I want it :)

I had to smile...my H walks away from me, when I just ask if I can have something...well "if you don't ask don't get"
I'm always on the hunt for stone that is just lying about...At our other house we had tons of the stuff...well used, for all sorts...but I couldn't bring it with us, tho did H did load some for me..A walk in the woods for bark, old tree stumps etc...
