Motti, Thank you. It always looks so good after it has had a trim, we could do with a drop of rain. We have really only had one heavy shower since March. I know others have been drenched but we keep missing the wet stuff. Will have to water again today, no rain forecast and even when it is forecast we seem to miss out.

Oliveoil - I can't believe how dry you've been up there, going by the photos. You must have taken very good care of everything.

We are quite heavy clay here so that is one bonus of not a lot of water, what little we do get is retained well. Hard work to dig though, but it is getting better the more I work it, still certain parts of it are very dry. Think the worst part is under the big silver birch, it takes out all the moisture and the new rose border is suffering because of it, but a friend climbed up a ladder and trimmed back a few overhanging branches last Saturday so it should help with that. I am going to drag out the hosepipe this evening also. One of the jobs I hate doing. Thanks for looking at the pictures.

Amazingly beautiful, considering you have not had a lot of rain, everything look very green, your grass look like carpets..

close up it is quite dry and brown in places think the weeds give it colour Michaella lol. :o) I cut it really short, I know I shouldn't but I like it that way. lol. if it rains I shall have to cut it again quickly because it grows so quick. When we have had wet weather I really need to cut it twice a week to keep it down think that is one of the good sides of no water, not cutting grass so much!
