the only butterfly i have seen so far!

Its a beauty Newfi do you know its name? I havent seen any here asa yet despite me planting up flowers that are supposed to attract Butterflies!

Judging by the end of it a Swallow Tail of some sort I would think.I agree with the others a serious shortage of butterflies I am walking in wild meadow most days with loads of flowers but only a fraction of what were there last year.could be the last two winters have taken there toll

Looks like an Eastern or Tiger swallowtail. I had 2 in the garden last week - perhaps one flew across the Gulf to you!
