50% Irish here! Lol girls, I went for the wine cooler and came back with this.....could fit a half barrel in it

Interesting to have the hydrangea in the pot..
was it too dry in the ground ?

Are you planning to keep the hydrangea permanently in the pot ?

Yes TT, I have lots of Hydrangeas in pots. This spot in the garden is either bone dry or squelchy in the winter + lots of trees and shrubs so very shady. I have more success with them in the ground in the top garden.

I've grown hydrangea cuttings in pots, and then, when large enough, I've always moved them to the ground ... but some of those, I do have to water very regularly during dry weather..

I wanted a big splash of colour in the corner TT and something that could cope with some shade. I think I will bring the pot up in the winter (haven't told OH that yet...It's very heavy)
