We found some growing in our old chicken run, I was very impressed by the flowers, the chooks never touched them.
I have seen them in conseratories, amazing fragrance.

But aren't there lots of things in the garden that are poisonous? Doesn't mean you're going to eat them. As long as you wash your hands when you've touched them.

I believe that Oleander is the most deadly ornamental plant - in one year in States there was a reported 850'ish human poisonings. It is also a popular means of suicide in parts of India, where crushed seeds are ingested.
Most poisonings by Datura are as a result of misguided attempts at hallucinatory "trips", with a number of deaths hastened by medical intervention - the combination of Datura poisoning and anaesthetic is lethal!

Interesting, thanks, beats going to tesco! The water hemlock...we had a young lass strimming here, she came out in hives. What she was stimming looked like cowparsley, maybe hogweed, nope, maybe hemlock?

Thank you Lulu, all plants are poisonous its just some are leathal to just touch and seaps through the skin another one tells you to wear gloves when planting is a crocus which I have which is large forgot the name it has one that you can get one that flowers in autum too

Tesco is a PLC 6d - I believe that the investment funds of Barclays and Legal & General are the largest single shareholders, although they probably hold no more than 5% stock each.....

Yes I know, but how many local traders now are indiginous english man, even they are owned by forigners, we dont stand a chance, we are not devious like them to survive, my eldest sister had to close her shop and so did my two other younger sisters close their business down and it was nt through greed either, they now have bought land and horses in stead.

When I ve chatted with the usa young men they want to burn Wallmart down which is Asda they said these big corporations over there make their local towns ghost towns and brings poverty to their area, a lot of youngesters over there now grow their own as they don t trust their products of how they are grown with all the pesticides that is causeing Alzimas and Autium.

It's the same the world over 6d - look how many British owned businesses there are in the European holiday resorts. Were it not for the immigrant population, the chains would be all powerful. As an employer, the Poles are a breath of fresh air - competent and not afraid of hard work.

Yes quite true about holiday resorts, as for the Poles I have to disagree there, as first there are our kids here work very hard my kids for example and get paid a pittance for it, the Poles and others don't reside here they go back and while here they share 5 or more to one house sharing one rent and send money back home not kept to help this country, while our children have to pay one rent per person off one wage not 5 or 6 wages then having to cloth, feed up to 4 to 5 children they then return back to Poland still having uk family allowance where over there the money goes further. As of poverty abroad I can quite assure you from my own children we have it here where my daughter can't feed her children most day s in a week they have to go with out because of bills also clothing for school. Recently an Indian employer stated to me why are we sending money to India for example when there are only a few pockets of poverty left and why does nt the wealthy men in India do some thing about it, on the scale gdp they are richer per head now than us.

You're Indian friend is wrong - in india there are a few pockets of wealth, not poverty. Depending upon the source that you take, the rate of Indian poverty as of 2010 runs at between 25 to 40%. Poverty being defined as being able to eat and house yourself - no TV, furniture, phone or other things that we regard as normal. That includes education.
How the Eastern European immigrants choose to live whilst here is their choice. Eastern European pickers willingness to work hard for minimal wages have saved more than one market garden from financial ruin.
I've been lucky enough to live in New Zealand, Australia and Amsterdam, and would like to think that the British were capable of extending the welcome over here that I received in those in those three countries.

It's a disgust how, amongst so much wealth and food mountains there is so much poverty. I don't dare give to charities for fear of it being lost either in red tape or to the corrupt polititians. I prey one day the world is a predominantly good place. I think something pretty big has to happen to us first.

I agree Lulu, My pm to Meanie just about where our donations go not to the people they supose too, but to the rulers like this, I don't donate either as I found out with charities about 10p in the £ if that the actually charity gets only the Salvation army give 99p in every £ perhaps if these countries had pressure groups like us they would then find out where their charity money goes to give them education etc Yes we have curription too here I notice they are on to the queen now

I just had a shock....RBS bank, due to an error in not finding a very small interest a/c has sent me a bill from the inland revenue for nearly £6,000. I am shaking from head to toe with fury............

Well I m not suprised with any thing comes from that bank, if I was you I would book to see the management of the bank first, if its their error then why should you pay, normally you should be covered I think if its their error, another currupt greedy lot banks, if Maggie Thatcher had nt stopped all foriegn business money going out of this country like it use to be we would be in this and the banks would nt of taken over, which watching tv it was a deal we made with the usa as they threatened us they would not allow our banks over there.
