Tabebuia heterophylla - Pink Trumpet Tree

This Pink Trumpet tree is another very difficult tree to photograph. Its flowers are a nice pastel pink and the tree looses most of its leaves when it flowers. Photo taken in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA. on July 28, 2011.

Yes, it is true. Many of the tropical/subtropical trees/shrubs bloom from Fall - early Spring.

Guess that's why we see mostly close-ups of the flowers....nice to see the whole tree though. From what I've seen among your pics...I'd say that there must be some tree or another in flower 365 days a year!
