Yesterday afternoon the feeding pole was visited no less than 67 times in half an hour.

Wow, and was it just fatballs on offer, and just sparrows ?
Presumable you must have to have the seed feeders as a separate 'restaurant' !!!
I do similar here - to keep the bad tempered robins away from the finches.
