I finally took some photos of my neighbor's orchids. There's literally hundreds of these orchids growing in the front and back yards. These orchids are in bloom all year...and the heaviest bloom is in winter and early spring. The orchids flowers are in shades of red, orange, yellow, white, purple and pink. Photo taken July 30, 2011.

Lori:
Many people grow these orchid hybrids in the ground...even though it grows as an epiphyte in nature.
It multiplies like crazy. My neighbor gave me some a few year back and I have tons of them now, too.

Mmmm I love Orchids.
Hubbys' Sister just bought a dark red Cymbidium one, along with a bottle of pink Bubbly for our Wedding Anniversary. :o)
