Correct name - Nicandra physalodes. Another plant that pops up everywhere but I like it :)

It is lovely Gee. Mine seem to have vanished this year. I think I might have weeded them by mistake.

I have collected some seed if you would like some for next year, Scotsgran. Just let me know. I collected the seed from a war grave just outside the village where I live. I think I included it in a blog I did about 2 years ago - and when it pops up in the garden I always think of the airman who died there.

That is a lovely way of remembering the airman and all our other young men who died. Yes please to the offer of some seed. I bought my original plant from a stall run by a postnatal baby unit supporters team at a Radio Rally somewhere in the midlads. The chap who grew them did not know their name and it took me a while to discover its id. I had not seen it before that and the only other place I have seen it was at Inverewe Garden when we visited last autumn. I will pm you with my address.
