Thanks all...It is an attractive Shrub...It's the nice changes it goes through, throughout the season that make it more interesting....:o)) and great camoflage from the Sun from that corner...

Hi Barbara... I'm quite fond of varigated plants, and different leaf formations, I do know a little about your Photinia...It comes from Oregon....found growing as a sport on possibly a Red Robin...It is Hardy...but personally I would protect it, even our Winters though shorter than yours, are pretty tough now...Great buy, where are you going to plant it...!!

Morning Crissue have planted it in a pot under my front room window, it is a dark red pot so goes very well with the colours in the Photinia. Thank you so much for the information, I will cover it if we get the frosts we got for the last two winters, hoping not though. It is very pretty lots of colour variation in it. thanks again for the info.

How long have you had that one in the ground, Sue?

9 Aug, 2011

We've been here Three Years April gone, so I would say, 3 years Karen...I know I bought it the first Summer we were here...They are fairly fast growers...need lots of attention till they're holding their own, after that they're fine....

Yes, but Red Robin has red colour of the youngest leaves.
Do you have it also? I see here just green leaves, although their shape correspond with photinia.
