Lovely tall perennial Lobelia...and very Red...:o))

They are nice, and very tall, they stand out in a Border, and you can take young rooteds off and plant elswhere...

Im glad youv'e put this pic on Crissue, ive grew these for 3 years running and i have 2 in my new raised bed, I was beginning to think they were a freak of nature, There HUGE, very beautifull and the brightest of red, just like yours..

Thanks Youngdaisy, have you got the Blue too....that also is very tall...I love them, I think when I find room for a Hot bed, this red one will look fantastic at the back of the bed...:o)))

No i havent got the blue, might try that one next year, Yeah it will look great in your hot bed, the leave's are a lovely deep red too.. Are they hardy where you are, i treat them as annuals up here.

They are Perennials Youngdaisy...I just cut mine back, cover with their own stems, and put straw over the top, in fact I do that with all my Perennials....
Where abouts are you...Do you pot them up them and pop them away somewhere!!

I've copied Whitelillies and added to favourites. I shall be spending the winter months trawling through my favourites and making a list of ideas/plants from all the photos. I'd better start saving now!!

Me too Frybo...I've got 10 I really really want, that doesn't include Roses and Clematis...lol...
It's great when you can see them as they are, it gives a better prospective...:o))

They dont survive up here Crissue.. Northeast of UK, Ill try your method of protection this year, you never know, it just might work, i have my heating on today! sick of the bad weather now,trying to organise a family trip for tomorrow but the weather forcast is keep changing lol..

It's 70+ today...first day without rain for about a week...
The rain can get on your nerves especially when the gardens had enough and you've had enough...
How about lifting it and potting it before the cold weather sets in...I wouldn't like you lose it...but it's your call...see how you feel when the time comes...
Hope you get a chance to get out with the family tomorrow...Have a great time if you do :o)))
