Tulbahia Violacea.....Society Garlic

I couldn't remember the name of this Perennial Grass, so I went back through last years photos to find it...
There are White Dahlias flowering through it this year...

I have never smelled Garlic on it at all...

Kinda looks like chive flowers. Could be garlic chives, we have that here. I try to pull it out wherever I see it. But so far not going that good a job.

Pretty mix of color, I really like the red in the background.

Thanks everyone......Hi Pix - went onto the Settee for an hour or so...after getting up so early...just had lunch...still tired, but there you go...Hope all is well with your Dad...see you later
Glad you like the pic....

Hi Rusty...I like the Chive plant I grow that also in my garden it's stems are good chopped and used in Salads or as herbs in cooking...and the flowers are pretty too, but different to the ones shown here...

The one above, does originate from the US...but is sold as a Perennial Grass here in France, I like it a lot...it has smaller Agapanthus looking flowers....and some visitors have mistaken it for Agapanthus....
The red in the background are Red Cactus Dahlias....glad you like the mix...

I don't know if any of the other GOYers has it...I couldn't find the label anywhere...and I felt embarassed when it was mistaken for something else...:o))) so had to go find it...I'm glad you like it Clarice...thanks...
I'm going to try splitting it when it's finished end of season....You know it flowers all the time, just deadhead...and she keeps on going....

Thanks Paul....have you seen it before...!! I bought it last year at our local GC...and its been superb for flowering, and a gorgeous grassy mound the flower stems rise from....

Thank goodness someone else has seen it and bought it yeah...
Meadowland this is its second year and I've had no problems at all...I do cover all my Perennials with straw over winter...and I only cut the old flower stems off, when the grass turns yellowy, I just pull bits out...and that's it...so glad you've got it, how about a picture...:o)))

How nice, as you can see by the pix that one is just green..and I've crushed the stem, and it still doesn't smell of garlic, not that I mind I love garlic...I'm surprised its finished flowering though...maybe it may start up again soon...
