The asperagus fern apparently loves to summer outside. It's putting out the fuzzy flowers and next will be the green berries that turn red. It comes inside before the birds notice it. The girls do tend to discourage winged visitors to the patio. 8-))

It's not a low grower, as the stems shoot tall and then fall over to cascade. the GIRLS lay on them in the 'hot cabinet' in the winter. Takes all summer for the plant to recover!
I did try to get close for the pix, guess I should take another but I will fluff the plant first so you can see it's true shape.
We brought this plant from the old house over 30 years ago. The 'children' have used it for a litter box, bed and play thing. One dog used to rip the stems off and carry them all over the house. It SHEDS in the spring as the stems die and those green things are worse than pine needles to get out of the house. I put several large trays in the hot cabinet to keep as many as possible off the rug, seems to work.

I like that...is it a low grower...or just the way you've snapped it...
