Zephyranthes candida

Zephyranthes candida (Zephyranthes candida (Flower of the Western Wind))

I planted some bulbs more than two years ago, and they just came up as leaves. I left the pot in a corner, and propagated a whole lot of Osteospermum, one of which rooted itself into the pot. I decided to plant the whole lot, and what a nice surprise today - a flower has appeared! Only one, but there might be more.

That reminds me of what an old boy up the road always tells me Barbara , he says if you throw it out it's gone forever if you keep it it stands a chance and might surprise you ... True :o)
