My Deppea, which I received from my neighbor, GoY member Randallsd last year has its first little flower spike. Photo taken August 13, 2011.

Thanks! Randallsd said all his 1 year seedlings (which this one is from the same batch) are all developing flower spikes, also.
Now, I just hope we don't get a severe heat wave! As this could cause the flower spike to fall off.

Palmate:
The weather here has been below normal for the last couple of weeks (only 79º/26º to 85º/29º during the day)...my plant is continuing to do well. It hasn't bloomed yet, though. :>)
