I did notice that, J...and I had an inkling that it was what I had too, but I had to look it up!!!lol!
I used to trim mine into ice-lolly shapes because I had actually wanted cypresses, but OH had vetoed on account of my bursting the garden budget...as usual!!! They never minded, at all!!!

Love this to bits Meadowland...right up my street as they say...Unless you need to trim it...I would leave well alone...but that's just me...:)))

Boy, you're lucky, J...I planted two of the conical ones in my old garden and had to trim them regularly throughout summer to stop them outgrowing the space!!
