The pebbles look wonderful. Lovely plants as well.

Apologise, i didnt realise that people had commented on this picture!!
It a just a liner (remarkable expensive as they are!) and the pond measures 8-9foot in length and about 7 in width. Its about 16inches deep but i never intended to have fish in it, just more for the look, wildlife and sound. Bit of a stage set as just to the left of the pond its not finished! Just a heap of liner not cut off and a bit of bomb site when it comes to the soil as waiting to do the path. I still have a bit more planting to do behind the Iris to thicken it up so you eventually you wont be able to see where the gravel ends and soil starts.
Thanks for the comments everyone!

Wow, Karen! This is a late comment...
...I have a suspicion that you might be making a pond!
Would I be I right? :)))

Have to say, it's nothing like as smart as this one! I should have just copied! ;))

I don't know about that, K...yours is looking pretty good to me! Are you going to have some fish?
22 Apr, 2012
don't think so K. The Herons are the blight of my fish pond and there are a lot of them here. I think I shall leave the pond for the wildlife. I'm praying for a frog and a toad!

Then you have to collect a bucketful of natural pond water and pour it in...instant (more or less) eco-system!
Someone told me to do it and I got two different types of newts (and they definitely weren't in that bucket)...but, I also have frog-wars which keep me awake a lot! lol! Wouldn't be without them tho'... :)

Oh, my word...frog wars! :))))
23 Apr, 2012
Lol! Yes, they're very territorial - but it's all show (and noise) because they don't have any teeth! :))))

Could give each other a nasty 'gumming' though! :)) I wonder what Nick T will make of all this if he revisits! lol
