Well, it's strange Motty, as it looked creamy this morning, but whiter this evening! ... I would plump for cream I think ... definitely not a stark white ... :o))

Motty, have just looked at pics in my Clematis book and it is described as creamy yellow! Should flower mid-May to end of July, then again at end of August. This means mine didn't read the book as it's only just bloomed! ... lol! . . . . .
Definitely worth the wait, Sandra. ... It was planted there to soften the Orange Honeysuckle ... the H. has since been re-sited as it had so many problems ... so now I need to find another climber to go with the Clem.! ... Hmm ... I DO have some Garden vouchers ... :o)))

Any excuse,Shirley..and just where have you re-sited the Honeysuckle ? or shouldn't I ask ? How lovely to have some garden vouchers.:o)).all mine are long gone....

Lol, Sandra, don't worry, I kept it, despite it having been attacked by Thrips (I think) and looking very ugly! ... It's thriving now in a border and should clamber up to cover a fence ... shame I can't see it from the kitchen window ... lol! :o)))))
