Tricyrtis hirta (For Karen)

That's a nice size clump Ph, apparently if you give them an acidic feed or mulch with ericaceous compost and dig some around them they go slightly bluer do you know if that's right? i saw it on-line, i know it works for some hydrangeas but thought it was a little suspect !!

Not heard that one before, I have a bluer variety in the same bed will post a pic when it flowers later in the week. I have just planted some of T. hirta in my woodland garden where the soil is quite acid will report any differences I notice.

It spreads quite well but its not invasive, I've had T. hirta for around 10 years, I have split it into 3 clumps now the one above about 3 years old and have given some away as well so its a "good doer" :o)))
