That's a shame,Pixi...did you have mainly spring/early summer flowers ? or has all the rain spoiled your plants..there are lots of knock down prices around..Pelargoniums last till well into autumn sometimes, and some nice small Chrysanthemums for a bit of colour..go on,cheer yourself up,and go bargain hunting! Lol..

5 Sep, 2011
Thank you Bernieh..it turned out better than expected this year..only small, but I still find things to do,and love pottering..or looking for a little space to plant ,or to move something.. ! At least pots help to ring the changes..:o)
5 Sep, 2011
Well as a gardener with many, many potted plants, I know exactly how busy you can be looking after them. I think the space looks quite beautiful. I love all the reds and pinks in amongst the various shades of green foliage. The Gladiolus look gorgeous too. I can see them peeking out in the middle there. We call them Peacock Orchids here. Unfortunately mine didn't flower this year. I think the wet season was too much for them.
5 Sep, 2011
Thank you,Bernieh..I am trying to have mainly pink ,and toning colours ,in this part..I forgot to move the yellow Dahlia's..:o)I have just seen your comment ,and replied, about the Acidanthera's..it also had Peacock Orchid, in brackets after the name...I will grow them next year, but in pots again..I agree about the wet
weather,..I think a few lost theirs here too..I kept these under cover, till late spring/early summer..
5 Sep, 2011
I wish I had planted mine in pots now. That way I could have taken them in during the wet season. I'm thinking of getting some more to pot up now instead.
5 Sep, 2011
what a picture!! well done you!
5 Sep, 2011
Good idea,Bernieh..I shall take these in too..
thank you Sticki..It's turned out better than expected.:o)
