Rose - I had to ask a question last year about it I had no idea what it was, the birds must have dropped a seed and this is what has grown. The good and knowledgeable people on here named it for me - yes it is a Sorbus/Swedish Whitebeam apparently. It is absolutely covered in berries this year and looks really lovely up by the fish pond. The blackbirds love the berries it is quite entertaining watching them pecking and eating the berries. Think I might try growing one from a berry and see if it comes through for me. lol. I really like this tree.

It is an amazing tree, lovely to sit and watch the birds eating the berries. Hope you are both well Sue and enjoying your garden. Not been on here much lately been busy moving youngest stuff up to Wakefield and tidying her room out here and gardening and just generally enjoying my life of freedom without any kids to look after. lol It is quiet though. lol. Only the birds and the animals noise around me now. lol. Think I shall enjoy the peace and quiet for a while. I have time for me now. lol.

Hi Barbara...nice to hear your news...hope all went smoothly...for you all...Funny my Dad was born in Wakefield...left there when he was eight years old...So Grandad was a Yorkshire man...worked the mines, then moved down to Kent to work the Kent mines till they closed all those years ago...That's as much as I know about Wakefield...
Yes OH and I are fine...haven't been on too much myself, there's been a lot going on here too...and I've been trying to prepare for the inevitable Autumn....Rained like mad over the weekend, but the Sun has got his hat on today, so hoping to get a bit more done outside...
OH is hoping to grass seed the now defunked side bed, where all the shrubs and plants were moved to create the front garden....and lay a few pavers along the grass path by the chooks, save walking in the wet grass, which by the way is growing like mad still...I bet your new path is lush and green now....:)))
Enjoy your me time...
Take care...x
