This Tamarind tree is blooming a developing little fruits. Photo taken Aug. 29, 2011.

This tree is small...it's only 10ft/3.2m tall. (it's been in the ground for about 4 years).
Tamarind is a slow-growing tree especially here in San Diego. In the tropics is grows a little faster and can attain a height of almost 100ft/31m tall. Here we're lucky if it grows to 30ft/10m tall...and I've never seen one this tall here (just read about them).
