Dahlia 'Seattle'

Thank you. I get such mixed reactions from Dahlias, even a love for one month and then stubborn nothing for another. I've started heavy feeds monthly (I don't favorite high-concentrate fertilizers but use them for the dahlia) as well as good high compost soil additions as I pot up throughout the year. Seems to keep the blooms coming and the the greens dark and thick.

One of my special favourites Dahlias....very nice....aren't we just spoilt for choice; and flower right through till first frosts...

I love it. First year for me and I'm sold! It'll be a bit of a chores manging such a massive thing, but well worth it. :-) (I will have to reserve it over winter each year, I'm sure its already giant. )

I give mine tomato food to try and boost the blooms...

THey are hungry things aren't they? I've been debating another strong feed, but it was a good freeze last night, first of the year, so I'll be putting that off. Nothing looks done in, but I wont really know until tonight.
