My heliotrope I placed in these warm wall pots where I regulate water, essential for keeping a heliotrope in the cooler weather. They came on beautifully, blooming all summer in large nodding heads of vanilla fragrance. This was early, just first week of June.

Thank you. One of my favorites. Both the rich purplish blue and the vanilla fragrance. On the porch like this they have been just perfect, the scent always caught drifting about in swirls. I've never had them grow with more success.

Thank you Bernieh. The heliotrope has done so well. I paired it with a variegated ipomea, lophosphermum and lobelia. I'll be putting them here for a few more years, did so well. More to come, this is only spring for these containers.

Well you certainly hit upon a winning combination there. It works beautifully. I'll be looking out for more photos as the rest of the year rolls on.

Thank you! :-)
May was dry and warm, some of the perennials suffered that I got water to them so late, noticing what was happening. Annuals all loved the heat. Some things are very late though as well, the lillies are almost a month behind.

Its weird here Gt, spring flowers, blossom and roses were amazing then we had a drought so the bedding suffered a bit and took a long time to recover, never really had much of a summer display, now we have spring flowers showing in with everything else, still lots of colour, the plants are very confused, lol....

Wow, it does sound confused. Seems a dry spell just freezes the cycle in place and things start up where they left off once the water comes again. Crazy weather....lol. I've got ajuga trying to flower up, but it wont get a chance. That confusion was from planting it this year from the greenhouse. Good that the color will last extra long though. :-)
