Not the best shot, but I got my chance when I could. This one did not perform as prolifically as bicentennial, but was my prefered color, much more demure. I have another to show the faint blue it can get, although I couldn't catch the faint green in the outer petals.

Thank you. It stole my heart. I just wish I had gotten two rather than the mismatch pair. I love this mild manner.

Ooo, it is much like that. The same varieties of fucshia come with different common names from here to there I've noticed. Strange but seems so. They may be the same, though mine seems to have so much more ruffling on the inner petals, like swingtime, just bigger and more.

I also think holly has bluer under petals [dont know the correct term] than yours.

These start blue and fade out to light pink. In fact, most of the blues found in fucshia is present only on the fresh petals and fades out. They could very well be the same......lol......i couldn't think what to call the inner petals either.

ah, these do similar, i will try to take a photo tomorrow; they seem to resist photos!!! such a shame cos they are so delicate and lovely.

Getting them in the same distance from the lens, that is the trick. And getting the focus where you want. I've been using my hand next to the bloom to focus the lens, then remove the hand, keeping focus and taking the shot. I've gotten much more success out of my close ups focusing on the right thing.
