Magnolia was a combined birthday and Christmas present from no. 2 son - inspired or what? I chose Stellata as we're a bit too exposed for a big Soulangea, and you get a mature shape quicker. Buying a new bit of garden might be a problem,Scottish - best of luck with that one!

Oh yes - I hoped they'd spread but they haven't so far.
I bought a blue "wood anemone" last year that I have high hopes of but it will probably be later than the little blandas.

You have a lovely garden Steragram, and I love your magnolia, I have a magnolia on my shopping list for next year....I then have to buy another garden in which to put it!!!!!
