Morning HB....Raining here whooppee...too hot yesterday...
It's surprising how much root stock delphis have, I think they need to spread out a bit, as they've got quite a stem to hold up...especially the Pacific Giants...

I tend to adopt the same method with all that I move...for me it gives the plant/shrub a better chance, with less disturbance...on the root stock...

That's a beautiful color Sue.....what a lovely flower....
If I had that, I would have a large area covered just with that!

I've grown Lupins for next year, hoping they'll do ok in the Garden now I've found a spot, that my one and only Lupin likes...:)))
I don't do much for Winter Paul, as my joints wont take the cold...so I rest everything...including me...and work in doors decorating etc...

I detest winter Crissue - soon as September ends it gets so depressing -

It does, cos we're so used to being outside, we end up like caged animals...The trick is to find other projects to get on with...and also TV is always better in the Winter months...:)))

Sorry to hear that Homebird....I am a beggar for moving stuff around...but these were getting swamped by other plants...so needed moving...All I do is dig further away from the root ball and lift the plant, with as much of it's own soil as poss...little disturbance as possible...and plant in a bigger prepared hole...I've very rarely lost a plant, following the same method...
This one is leaning against our ornamental Cherry, as it's quite tall....but the earwigs have had a bite already, I've had loads this year...
